Mary is a native of mid-Missouri, graduating from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri with degrees in Business Management and Criminal Justice. Prior to moving to Indianapolis in 1996, Mary worked for the Missouri Department of Social Services in Jefferson City, Missouri. After relocating to Indianapolis, Mary worked for nearly 20 years for a national non-profit, Volunteers of America, where she held a variety of executive level and management positions within that organization.

Mary, along with her husband Ron, reside on the far east side of Indianapolis. They have four children in a blended family…two daughters and two sons. Making their family even larger is the addition of six grandchildren. 

Mary and Ron enjoy their summer camp in southern Indiana, volunteering with their friends through the VFW and American Legion posts, and spending time with family and friends scattered mainly in Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Arizona. 

Their church home is at St. John Lutheran Church, located on Southeastern Avenue in Indianapolis.
