Funerals

A funeral service is an act of worship and a celebration of the resurrection.  Its purpose is to glorify God, who is the Lord of life and death. to commend the dead to God's love and mercy, to mark with our love and respect the completed mortal life of the deceased, to comfort the sorrowing with the Word of God, and to witness to our faith in Jesus Christ who is the resurrection and the life.

Review the OPPC Guide for Planning the Christian Funeral.

Weddings

Planning Your Wedding at Orchard Park

At Orchard Park, the wedding ceremony is a religious service that should be approached accordingly. The bride-to-be is requested to contact the church office, 317-844-1107, in advance to reserve a date for the wedding. The office staff will consult with the pastoral staff to see who is available to perform the service. The pastor and the couple then meet for counseling sessions prior to the wedding ceremony.
